Quality is always my first priority, for the purpose of your health.
I am part of the RBCZ (umbrella organisation for complementary therapists in the Netherlands) and the hereto affiliated Dutch national disciplinary board TCZ. I am also part of the SCAG, a disputes committee for complementary therapists.
Besides, I am a member of the VIS (professional association for IOKAI shiatsu therapists) and the EISA (European International Shiatsu Association). These associations supervise the quality of education, in-service training and peer-to-peer coaching.
The above results in my practice for IOKAI shiatsu is officially recognized by the health insurers and the Dutch tax authority. My practice completely satisfies the requirements as written in the Wkkgz (Law quality, complaints and disputes healthcare).
My work is done according to these terms and conditions, so we both know where we stand. When treating underaged clients a treatment agreement (in Dutch) is used.
Training and continuing education
I followed my training at the Amsterdam School of Iokai Shiatsu. This is a four-year education programme which I concluded in 2008. A two-year higher professional (HBO) training in Foundations of Western Medicine is part of this education. I started working full-time as an Iokai Shiatsu therapist following my exams in 2008.
I am a registered member of the Association of Iokai Shiatsu therapists (VIS) and the European Iokai Shiatsu Association (EISA). I am also registered with Register Beroepsbeoefenaren Complementaire Zorg (RBCZ) and I am subjected to the disciplinary committee of Tuchtrecht Complementaire Zorg (TCZ).
As formal member of VIS I comply with all quality guidelines and criteria concerning training and intervision.
